How long does it take?

1. 1 hour. We do two twenty minute sessions back to back. In between those sessions we reapply the gel and change the light settings.

How does it work?

The active whitening ingredients are a combination of hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide and xylitol.

1. Calcium lactate helps remineralizes teeth.
2. Potassium Citrate is a desensitizing agent.
3. Aloe and neem to help soothe gums!

Is it Vegan?

The products are made in Canada by SunnaSmile and are natural, vegan and made to avoid sensitivity!

How much will my teeth whiten?

SunnaSmile products only remove surface stains, the whitening level of your teeth varies depending on your natural tooth shade and how much staining you have.

Will it cause sensitivity?

Most people don’t get sensitivity from this as the products are formulated for sensitive teeth and majority of people are fine.

For the few who do experience sensitivity, it only lasts up to 30 minutes and then goes away. With that being said I personally have not had any clients of my own who have had any problems with sensitivity.

If you do struggle with high sensitivity or have any concerns with your enamel then I recommend consulting with your dentist first before doing this treatment!

There is an anti sensitivity ingredient in the whitening gel so it isn’t a major issue with most people!

How can I prepare for my teeth whitening appointment?

1. Make sure to eat before your appointment, because you will not be able to eat or drink anything except water for one hour after your appointment.
2. Brush and floss your teeth before your appointment
3. For best results, book a cleaning with your dental hygienist within 6 months of your appointment.

How do I maintain my results?

1. Do not eat for one hour after the treatment
2. Avoid any food or drink likely to cause staining, ie: Tomatoes, berries, coffee, coca cola, red wine, white wine, turmeric, beets, etc.
3. For best results, use SunnaSmile toothpaste, mouthwash or add whitening gel to toothpaste once a week.
4. At home aftercare kits can also be purchased to continue to whiten once a week at home.
